How was the weather in the first week of December where you live? Here in Marbella, the sun was shining, the skies were a gorgeous clear blue and we could see all the way to the coast of Africa, the Spanish enclave of Ceuta and Gibraltar too. Shirtsleeves and even shorts were in evidence as many people, locals and visitors alike, enjoyed the re-energising warmth of the sun as they strolled along the beautiful promenade with their family and friends. With the temperature in the low 20s Centigrade, this was close-to-perfect outdoor living. Leisurely walking or more active skating & cycling, chatting and laughing with those who are close to them, dining and drinking, perusing the many local shops or just chilling on the beach!

Marbella's wide promenade and its lovely sandy beach are a wonderful place to be at any time of the year. December however is particularly special as hopefully these photos will show!

Now extending for many kilometres all the way to Puerto Banus, the Marbella promenade is wide and lined with many fabulous bars, restaurants and shops, as well as hotels, apartments, gyms and cinemas. It's the place where many people love to stroll, chatting easily or gazing out at the remarkable views, pausing for a drink, a tapas snack or a leisurely meal.
At the heart of the promenade is the leisure port with its moorings for many beautiful yachts, a sheltered inner-bay and either side of it, the long sweeps of the sandy beach.

As well as all the bars and restaurants along the promenade itself, there are are many more tucked away along the adjacent side streets leading up to the beautiful old town of Marbella or around the leisure port.

Prices can fit all pockets too, especially given the substantial competition between all the various businesses competing for customers. Of course there are the higher end options for those who desire something a little bit special, for example at Los Melizos (to the right here) that opened in early summer of 2018. However there are also many that offer tapas for just 1€ a plate as in the bars below!
